Jeremiah Snidar

4th Grade Teacher

Teaching at Sabin

Hey Sabin 4th Grade Students and Parents! My name is Mr. Snidar. I am very excited to teach 4th grade at Sabin again this year! I began my teaching career at Sabin 4 years ago as a Resident Teacher in the Denver Teacher Residency program through the University of Denver. In that program I student taught with excellent mentors, Mr. McMahon and Mr. Hyosaka, while I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Mi Casa Resource Center

Before teaching I was a Youth Advocate in Mi Casa Resource Center’s Neighborhood Center in Lake Middle School. As Youth Advocate for three years, I supported students who were struggling in school and in the community. I worked closely with students, their families, teachers and administrators to create plans that would help them succeed in school and in life. My work with in the school motivated me to become a teacher!

About Me

I love to travel! After I graduated from Metro State University in 2008 I lived in South America for 11 months. I taught English in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six months. I made many friends and fell in love with the city. It became my home away from home and I still miss it to this day. After teaching, I backpacked through the Andes Mountain Range from Northern Patagonia to Peru. I even went to Machu Picchu! I learned so much about other cultures and about myself.
