Howdy! My name is Jill Curnow and I am crazy thrilled to be starting my fifth year at Sabin Elementary. I started off my teaching career eight years ago after moving to Costa Rica and needing a job. My education in Biology helped me find work at the local school where I taught Earth science and Biology to students in Preschool through eighth grade for three years. También aprendí a hablar Español. After finding myself homesick for colorful Colorado and my family, I moved back to the states and started working as a paraprofessional at Sabin in MI/MI-S. I found myself happier and more fulfilled in this position than any other in my history and decided to make it permanent by becoming a teacher through Denver Teacher in Residency (2015-2016). When I am not having fun with my students at Sabin me encanta roam the foothills by bike, foot, snowshoe, snowboard with my husband, two chicos, and dog. When we are homebound they day passes quickly as I love to garden, read, cook, hang out with my 40 chickens & 12 turkeys, make candles and soap, home remodel…..Never enough time!
Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your community and Sabin Family!
