We are proud to announce that Sabin World Elementary has been named a 2026 National Banner Unified Champion School by Special Olympics! Sabin is the only Denver Public Schools elementary school to receive this prestigious recognition in 2026.
This national honor recognizes schools that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to inclusion through Unified Sports, inclusive student leadership, and whole-school engagement. To earn this distinction, schools must meet 10 national standards of excellence that promote meaningful participation, acceptance, and belonging for students with and without intellectual disabilities.
As an IB World School, we believe that caring, open-mindedness, and respect for others are essential to building a strong school community. This recognition celebrates the ways our students and staff put those values into action every day.
Congratulations to our entire Sabin community for helping create a school where everyone belongs!
